'Shuga' Finds A New Home

Television series ‘Shuga’ has found a new home in Nigeria. The changes were announced in July 2013 and open cast auditions started taking place, the news is bitter sweet (please note that I am partial when it comes to Kenya) although still based in Africa it seems like a lose for a country that is starting to build a strong Film and Television Industry that can compete on a global scale.

The full cast is yet to be reveled although it is expected a number of the original cast members will feature in the third series but a predominantly Nigerian cast and crew is expected with Biyi Bandele director of the screen adaptation  “Half of a Yellow Sun”, set to direct the 8-part series. As always Music, Power and Politics will be watching and supporting the cause behind the series promoting safe sexual health awareness. If you have not yet had a chance to watch the show it is available online; follow the link below.
