The last Diamond Platnumz song that was on constant replay on my playlist was ‘Salome’ the sample from the classic ‘Maria Salome’ by Saida Karoli was the ultimate homage to not and only great classic song but artist, fast forward a year on and Diamond has a collaboration with Morgan Heritage ‘Hallelujah’ it’s an unexpected collaboration but it works so well and what better place to film the video but in Brixton South London.
So here for this, screaming Hallelujah! Check out the video shot by Moe Musa.
Absolutely in love with the East African Wave and the magic they keep spinning out. The Kenyan based collective is a favorite on Soundcloud having produced some cool songs and with weekly mixes, ‘Wave Tape’ every Wednesday nothing like that mid-week music pump up and push through to keep you going.
This collaboration with Blinky Bill & Kerby is a partnership made in musical heaven, take a listen to ‘10,000 Hours’. Blinky’s effortless bars and Kerby’s flow has this song on constant repeat….none stop.
Bang, bang, boomerang
Do you love or hate me now, babe
Bang, bang, boomerang
I can’t believe it all began with a joke and champagne
I really never cared about it
If you plantin’ or plantain
Jidenna! is certified bae so anything he releases has to make it to my playlist simple fact only. I am still recovering over the shambles that One Africa presented earlier in the year that saw him not perform at the SSE Wembley Arena but as always he delivers and with an EP release Boomerang he released the title track check out the video below that features some amazing choreography
The song sounds like it has a small sample of Major Lazer’s ‘Get Free’ maybe some of the more keen ears can confirm that or not although the fact the song is produced by Diplo explains that fact away.
The video is based on a couple who dance their woes away when their car breaks down, Jidenna makes a little cameo at the end of the videos as a bobblehead.
Jidenna’s Boomerang EP Tracklist
3. “Spy Candy” Feat. Tiwa Savage
4. “Bambi Too” Feat. Maleek Berry, Quavo and Sarkodie
5. “Little Bit More (Remix)” Feat. Burna Boy
6. “Out of Body” Feat. Wale and Dot Cromwell
Not going to lie but I low key sleep on Ms Kimani only because I find the visuals sometimes overshadow the music and at times the songs are not for me oooo! that being said her latest album ‘Safari’ has seen her produce some lovely songs with strong lyrical concepts and am loving it, ‘March Along’ is a perfect example of this, great lyrics, story and visuals just meeting up.
Her latest release China Love ft R City also a winner and has been on constant repeat, check out the video below.

I absolutely love these guys and look forward to seeing them in December as they add a dope spin to all the biggest songs of the year. The added gospel influence that resonates in every one of their mixes just keeps them above the rest.

Cassper Nyovest – Destiny
Cassper Nyovest released some amazing visuals to his song ‘Destiny’ a collaboration with the amazing songstress, the super talented song bird that is Goapele.
The song samples the chorus from the group Malaika ‘Destiny’, only Goapele slows down the melody but definitely does the song justice. The single is from Cassper’s studio album titled ‘Thuto’ released on the 5th of May 2017.
The futuristic visuals are the work of South African music video director Kyle Lewis who work deals greatly with dreamlike, fairytale, surrealist elements and also incorporats space and time in such a seamless way to his work, all things that can be seen in this video.
Shekhinah released the visuals to her single Suited and we are in love with everything that she is serving. The South African songstress discovered on South African Idol Season 7 has curved out a unique path for herself releasing some amazing house influenced, soul infused songs that has her walking her own very distinctive path and we absolutely love her, Shekhinah is so current and just at the cusp of global recognition.
In Suited Shekhinah sings of a love that’s suited for each other, tailor made. The visual she her and her love interest share moments together, take a trip to the tattoo shop and hit a spot to drink and dance the night away with a group of friends.
